What is a formwork and where is it used
Generally, all system formwork are
adjustable in height. The formwork is thus brought to the correct height and
set up. After filling and hardening of the cement, the formwork elements can be
easily removed. Adjustable metal supports are used for support. They are
similar to those of a slab formwork. Certain systems use metal frames and
scaffolding towers to secure the formwork. Other methods used include attaching
formwork panels to cast walls or pillars. The use of vertical supports is thus
unnecessary. This procedure requires support shoes, which are screwed by means
of holes and fastened to cast anchors. Formwork must comply with the
requirements of the design, as well as the surface condition. The scaffold must
be stable, to carry the loads of fresh concrete vertically and horizontally.
Likewise, it must be sufficiently stiff to ensure high dimensional accuracy and
to produce no undesirable deformations. The freshly connected wall formwork can
be quickly removed from the cemented wall. But if nail iron or sledge hammers
are used, they can cause damage to the concrete wall. The use of special tools,
however, prevents neither the can cause this damage to the concrete wall.

What are formwork tools?
On construction sites, small tools such as
wrenches or hammers are often preferred. Although this is possible, preferably
scarf tools are used. Shuttering tools prevent damage to concrete parts. The
use of a formwork is a practical solution. It saves costs compared to
conventional ways of working. The typical width of a formwork is between 180
and 300 centimeters. Lengths are usually between 370 and 610 centimeters. A
formwork is positioned with a transfer carriage in size and structure. Formwork
is used on construction sites. They facilitate the work considerably. Thanks to
shuttering, fewer personnel are needed than would be required to use
conventional tools during construction. The use of formwork tools usually
requires only two workers. One worker lifts the staff of the other side, a
second man tightens this. Shuttering tools are aligned exactly at the lever
corner when shelling. The formwork itself can be loosened thanks to the tools
easily, and above all without demolishing the concrete or the formwork.
